How do I enter a horse into an auction?

Go to Auction -> Horse Entry Form

Complete all required fields on the entry from (including uploading photos & video link), select you have read the terms and conditions and are the authorized owner/agent, and submit payment via the Square link found at the bottom of the page. Once payment has been completed and entry form submitted it will be sent to Equine-Connect for approval. When your entry has been approved you will receive a confirmation email.

How do I enter a related item into an auction?

Go to Auction -> Related Item Form

Complete all required fields on the entry from (including uploading photos), select you have read the terms and conditions and are the authorized owner/agent. Once the entry form is submitted it will be sent to Equine-Connect for approval. When your entry has been approved you will receive a confirmation email.

How do I register and bid?

In order to participate in any Equine-Connect auction you must first be registered and accept the terms and conditions.

How many horses can I enter into an auction?

You may consign as many horses as you'd like into each auction.

Equine-Connect holds monthly auctions so there will be several opportunities to consign and sell your horses.

If my horse does not sell in an auction do I still have to pay a commission?

No. You only pay a commission if your horse sells.

If my horse does not sell is my consignment fee refundable?

All consignment fees are non-refundable.

Can I put a reserve my horse/item?

Yes, of course. Submit your reserve on the entry form. Or if you wish to edit or add a reserve after a horse has been submitted contact Equine-Connect directly at equineconnect.net@gmail.com or 616-320-5720.

What commission do I have to pay Equine-Connect if my horse or item sells?

HORSES: An entry fee of $275 shall be paid to Equine-Connect for each horse listed. The entry fee is non-refundable for any reason. The entry fee must be paid at the time a horse is submitted into the auction. When a horse is sold through the auction Equine-Connect shall also receive a commission of four percent (4%) of the purchase price.

RELATED ITEMS/TACK: There is no entry fee for a related items. When a related item is sold through the auction Equine-Connect shall also receive a commission of eight percent (8%) of the purchase price. 

How often will Equine-Connect be holding auctions?

Equine-Connect.net will be holding bi-weekly online auctions. However, we are open to what the market demands and will adjust accordingly.

Will I be notified if someone outbids me?

Yes, the bidding system will immediately indicate when you are outbid and you will receive an email notifying you.

Payment for horse/item.

All purchase payments shall be made directly between the buyer and the seller. Participants agree that it shall be the sole responsibility of the seller to collect full payment for the horse/item from the buyer. The buyer agrees that the seller must be paid in full within 48 hours after the completion of the auction. For more information please view the terms & conditions.

Does the buyer pay the seller directly for the horse/item?

Yes.

As the trainer may I consign a horse for my client?

Yes, you may work as an agent on behalf of an owner. However, by agreeing to the terms and conditions you declare you have permission from the owner to enter the horse on their behalf.

What is overtime bidding?

When a bid is placed within the last 5 minutes, the closing time of a lot is automatically extended by an additional 5 minutes. This extension will continue until there are no bids received, after which bidding on the lot will then close. This feature allows all bidders an equal opportunity to be the high bidder.
